Friday Favorites | No. 7

Happy Friday! This past week I was on vacation in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and feel refreshed and recharged. Tim and I went to spend time with his family and watched is sister play in a college tennis tournament. The weather was all over the place; one day it was in the 70's and the next it was in the 30's, but we had a great time and enjoyed spending time with each other. And now here are my top five moments from this past week:

1. Last Friday night, we had a farewell dinner for a close family friend who was visiting from London and the food delicious. There was a wonderful antipasti platter for the appetizer, dinner was Italian beer can chicken, spinach ravioli, salad and garlic bread. To finish of the night we had tiramisu and my favorite prosecco!

2. On Saturday night, I came home from a rough day and found "just because" flowers from Tim. Turned my day completely around :)

3. Tim and I arrived to Hilton Head Island late on Sunday night, but woke up on Monday morning to beautiful 70 degree weather and enjoyed a 4 mile beach walk before his sisters tennis match later that day.

4. Tuesday's weather was a wee-bit different from Monday's. Low 30's were the high, but the beach was still beautiful and rather peaceful as we took another long (and freezing) morning walk. 

5. On Wednesday, the tennis match was cancelled due to rain, so his family and I went to Harbour Town on the island to take a tour of their lighthouse and do a little shopping. The lighthouse was only 114 steps to the top and gave such pretty views of the harbor and golf courses.

There was a live camera on the observation deck atop of the lighthouse that allowed family and friends to go online and see you live. I tried to get my mom to see us via the web, but you know technology...it never works when you want it to...and because it was raining, we snapped a quick selfie and sent it to her instead!
